Conduct fishery research projects pertaining to catch/effort estimation and life history/biological/

ecological characteristics of fished species, constructing fishery regulation assessment models, and developing information for stock assessments and stock assessment reviews. Located in Newport, review and recommend adjustments to commercial and recreational sampling programs.

Qualifications:
Requires three years’ biological experience in a fisheries/wildlife program with one year of experience that technical/professional level performing activities in a fish/wildlife program such as researching and analyzing data, conducting investigations, applying pertinent laws and regulations, or coordinating and monitoring project activities and a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries/Wildlife Science or related degree; or three additional years’ biological experience. A related Master’s or Doctorate degree will substitute for some of the required experience.

Salary: $3,727-$5,442/mo. Generous benefits package.
