Tetra Tech, Inc. a leading environmental science and engineering consulting firm, is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager to support our energy practice in our Westford, Massachusetts office.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supporting Tetra Tech’s energy practice in the siting and comprehensive federal, state, and local environmental permitting of new electric generating facilities and supporting infrastructure. This includes multi-disciplinary environmental impact statements/assessments, siting board petitions, media-specific environmental permit applications, agency and public stakeholder interaction, and public hearing support

The position reports directly to senior energy practice leaders and entails coordination and oversight of discipline-specific technical experts

Contribution to proposal and business development efforts

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION:

BS/MS and 5 – 10 years’ environmental planning experience working in a consulting environment on environmental permitting assignments for complex energy and/or industrial facilities

Critical skills include strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, commitment to quality and professionalism

The ability to handle multiple assignments, coordinate effectively with others, and work independently within a team are important characteristics for this position

The successful candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills

 

DESIRED EXPERIENCES:

The successful candidate will have proven experience providing environmental consulting support to energy/industrial clients, including environmental permitting for complex projects

Demonstration of strong writing skills, collaboratively working in a team environment, and keen attention to detail are essential
