About You

Position Snapshot

You’ll be responsible for managing a Total Waste Management (TWM) and environmental waste contract at customer locations. In this position, you’ll help your customers develop recycling and waste management programs for their facilities. You will determine the proper method of treatment and then route customer waste to one of our many treatment sites across North America.

 

Day in the Life

This position requires about 5-10% airline travel to various sites. The rest of your time will be spent at our regional office in Livonia, MI. While each day may be different, you can expect to do the following on a regular basis:

Grab your favorite morning beverage, log onto your computer and check emails

Check for upcoming scheduling requests from customers

Follow up on pending customer requests

Research strategies for lowering customer and vendor costs

Explore and test options for removing waste streams from the landfill

Complete customer reports on cost and landfill volumes

Support on-site EHS customer representatives

Track, resolve and log customer issues requiring attention

Conduct site-specific reviews to determine financial well being

Hold meetings with our client to discuss services and expectations

 

What you need to apply

Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, i.e. Environmental Science.

Related experience in waste management also required.

Moderate computer skills (experience with Microsoft Office Suite)

At least 3 years of project management experience in the environmental sector

Experience with Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA), Department of Transportation (DOT), Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) and other applicable local, state, and federal regulatory bodies

Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
