Mason County Public Utility District No. 1 is looking for a dynamic professional to join our fun, hardworking team as an Engineering/GIS Technician. Located in Potlatch along the beautiful Hood Canal, PUD 1 is the first operating PUD in Washington State, serving power, water and wastewater to just over 8,000 accounts. As a valued member of the electric team, the Engineering/GIS Technician will be responsible for designing and staking electrical service jobs, maintaining the District’s outage management and mapping systems, and helping to ensure that we meet our mission to provide safe and reliable electric service to our customers. This is a fast paced and multi-faceted position that not only relies on technical skills and computer work, but also working out in the field, engaging with our customers.
Looking for strong experience and proficiency in GIS, including Esri ArcGIS, and experience with electrical utility distribution preferred. Familiarity with NISC content management software is a plus, but not required.
The PUD offers a competitive starting salary $28.94-$34.20 DOE, per union scale, and an excellent benefits package including family medical, dental and life insurance, LTD, retirement, & health reimbursement account.
