The Opportunity:   The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is in search of an Information Technology Specialist 5 – Desktop Support to join the South Central Region (SCR) Information Technology Division (ITD) Field Services team located in Union Gap, WA.  The South Central ITD Field Services team functions as the central support group for all technology related equipment issues for nearly 650 employees across 27 sites through the South Central Regions’ 9 counties.

The Information Technology Specialist 5 software administrator is responsible for asset management and administration of services to ensure WSDOT staff can effectively and efficiently complete work activities. The incumbent to this position serves as the application administrator for SCR and provides desktop support for computer hardware, software, and mobile devices by applying expert technical knowledge to independently identify and resolve complex technical issues.  The Information Technology Specialist 5 ensures reliable access to data, applications, servers, and voice communications for employees, partner agencies, and public customers in a 24/7 environment.
