Gain knowledge of the environment while honing your skills through hands-on experience and learning opportunities. Serve outdoors building backcountry and urban trails, planting native trees and shrubs along rivers and streams, removing invasive species, and more!
Requirements: Must be 18-25 years old, with exceptions for recently returned military veterans*. Strong preference is given to Washington state residents. *Age restrictions do not apply to Gulf War era II reservists, dependents, and veterans.
Benefits: Members earn a semi-monthly living allowance of $1,058 and receive an AmeriCorps Education Award of $6,095 (scholarship) upon successful completion of 11-month contract (and 1700 hours). Educational loan forbearance is available.
