Responsibilities

As a Fish Biologist, you will perform the following duties:

• Promote the conservation of marine resources including fisheries, protected species, and habitat, through implementation of the Endangered Species Act (ESA), the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (MSA), the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other applicable law.
• Analyze effects of actions on marine species to ensure compliance with appropriate statutes (ESA, MSA, MMPA, NEPA).
• Utilize ESA, fish and/or marine mammal biology, and aquatic habitat requirements when working with federal, state and/or local agencies.
