RESOURCE CONSERVATIONIST/AGRICULTURAL PLANNER

Full-time Resource Conservationist/Agricultural Planner is needed for the Marion Soil and Water Conservation District located in Salem, Oregon. Primarily performs agricultural and conservation planning and works with landowners/operators in addition to providing technical information on natural resources, conservation practices and related topics. Knowledge or experience with irrigation systems, irrigation water management and/or integrated pest management is desired but not required.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required with major coursework in Agricultural sciences. Natural Resources or other related degrees may be considered to qualify. A minimum of three years of experience working as a farm, agricultural or conservation planner or in a related or similar capacity for a natural resources agency, city, county, organization, or corporation. Volunteer experience may substitute for paid work experience. Needs to have strong computer and GIS skills. Must be a team player and likes working with people.
Starting Annual Salary:
$48,548 but will depend on experience. Includes a great benefits package.
