We are pleased to invite submissions for the 3rd International Conference on Fossil Fuel Supply and Climate Policy. The Conference explores the many opportunities for, and challenges of, supply-side strategies for limiting coal, oil, and gas, recognizing that many countries rely on fossil fuel extraction and trade for their energy security, economic development, and political influence.

The first two conferences, held in 2016 and 2018, sparked new ideas, research and connections among finance specialists, industry representatives, international organizations, civil society, and academic researchers. This third, two-day conference will build on the growing interest in whether and how climate policy should seek to limit the supply of fossil fuels. It will be held on the 15th and 16th of September 2020 at the Queen’s College in Oxford, UK.

We are accepting proposals for individual presentations and thematic sessions. The submission deadline is Wednesday 8 April 2020.

This year we are also inviting expressions of interest to host remote conference events, where participants will gather to view the live-streamed conference sessions, and join online discussions with the main conference in Oxford. If you can’t travel to Oxford, please consider hosting your own local event alongside the main conference.

To learn more, visit the conference website: http://fossilfuelsandclimate.org and read the Call for Submissions. Please also sign up for updates on the website to ensure you are notified when conference registration opens.  In the future, we will only send reminders to those who have signed up for updates.
