The “4-H Discovery Farm Spring Break Camp” is open to youth in grades 2-7, providing hands-on, small group activities in urban farming, gardening, and other natural science and sustainable living topics.

Program Specialists will work closely with counselors in training (CIT’s) to offer a variety of hands-on, outdoor learning activities. A long list of educational resources will be available for the program.

The ideal candidate(s) must be 21 years of age or older (an American Camping Association standard) and have a strong interest in:
o Learning, teaching, and working with youth.
o Teaching about the out-of-doors, gardening, healthy living, and science exploration.
o Helping campers make healthy, sustainable food choices through hands-on gardening and outdoor education.

A stipend of $200 will be provided for the ideal candidates. Camp enrollment numbers will determine how many Program Instructors are hired.
