The Grant Writer is responsible for preparing and producing, in draft and final form, grant proposals and solicitations for funding. The Grant Writer researches and recommends funding opportunities, develops solicitations and proposals for OMSI programs, exhibits, and general operating needs, prepares progress and final reports to donors, maintains donor database and associated records. Audiences include foundations, corporations, individuals, and when appropriate, government sources of funds.

Qualifications:
Candidate will have a minimum three years of writing or related experience, Bachelor’s Degree in communications, journalism, or a related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and competency with databases and MS Windows. Familiarity with science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) content is preferred. Candidate must also pass pre-employment checks, such as criminal background check, reference checks.
