Internship Length & Hours: April through August, 20 hours per week (10-20 during the school months and 20 hours per week during the summer months.)

Essential Functions:
* Assist in the development & implementation of planning and evaluation processes to ensure organization processes and programs meet desired outcomes and the goals of the GSWW’s strategic plan.

* Assist in survey design, data collection and analysis to help prepare and present reports with recommendations to a variety of end users.

* Support the Research and Evaluation Specialist in working across other departments to develop and implement organization performance measurement tools and systems. Learn how to conduct analyses for management and other stakeholders to help improve organization performance.

* Assist in supporting program evaluations by working in close coordination with Fund Development and the funded program to provide timely evaluations required by funders including up to 15 United Ways, government agencies, foundations, and corporations.

* As time permits, conduct research to support the development of strategic initiatives and policies.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree (Graduate student preferred) in field of public administration, nonprofit management or other related field. Equivalent education and work experience required with an understanding of statistics and SPSS.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to assess information gathered from a variety of sources to formulate recommendations on issues of broad strategic impact within and external to the organization.
* Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective interactions with individuals at all levels and backgrounds.
* Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
* Skilled in SPSS, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access or other database program.
* Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative and maintain confidentiality.
* Satisfactory results from criminal background search.
