Instructor and Northeast Portland beekeeper Glen Andresen will take you through the basics of backyard beekeeping without using ANY treatments, chemical or otherwise. Topics include equipment, bee acquisition, colony maintenance, pests and diseases, and overwintering.The class will conclude with a one hour visit at Glen’s home apiary in Northeast Portland for hands-on teaching and a discussion of seasonal tasks. Hive visits are on June 17 and August 19, 2pm-3pm.
