Fish and Wildlife Restoration Technician (4 positions available)

Joint Base Lewis McChord Fish and Wildlife Program.

Work to be done/skills needed:

Work will involve a variety of tasks including: Noxious weed control, collecting native plant seeds for propagation projects, planting native riparian and prairie vegetation, monitoring populations of western toads, assisting with surveys for nesting raptors, assisting with surveys for purple martins and preparing areas for future ecological burns. Students will be involved in other projects as need or interest dictates.  Students of all skill levels are welcome to apply. Student must bring enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Work requires the ability to hike over uneven terrain and work outdoors for extended periods of time in all weather conditions.

Work Dates and Hours

Work dates and hours are flexible, with a minimum commitment of 8 hours one day a week required. Preferred work schedule would be Tuesday through Friday for a total of 30 hours a week.

Other information
