• Ability to multi-task with exceptional organizational skills, experience in writing and research, and project promotion and development

Qualifications
• Expressed and demonstrated commitment to values and issues which constitute the Intercommunity Peace and Justice Center’s mission.
• Website development and desktop publishing skills including experience with Adobe Creative Suite–Dreamweaver and InDesign
• Event organizing skills
• Demonstrated use of multi-media for educational and promotional purposes
• Systemic change knowledge and experience with social justice
• Community organizing and community building familiarity
• Familiarity with Catholic Church and Religious Institutions
• Research, writing and editing experience
• Collaborative team work
• Ability to interface with the public in representing IPJC
• Ability to work in and express a faith-based perspective
• Minimum BA degree

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Executive Director,
• Assist in Major Conference Planning and Event Coordination
• Website & Technology: Work in collaboration with the operations manager to maintain and develop the IPJC website
• Federal Legislative Action Research: Collaborate on research and preparation of legislative actions
• Research and Fund Development Support
• Assist in Community Education: Research, develop, and provide community education through publications and presentations

Contract Position
• 20 hrs weekly August 2012–April, 2013
• $18-21 hourly
