On February 2, 2013, WSU Island County Beach Watchers present Sound Waters 2013, a one-day “university” for everyone, featuring more than 60 classes and presentations about the natural world and fragile environment of the Puget Sound region. It will be held at Oak Harbor High School, Whidbey Island from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. Our keynote speaker is Dr. Cliff Mass, speaking on “Global Warming’s Impacts on the Pacific Northwest: Separating Facts from Hype.”
