Water Resources Extension Coordinator. This position will be located at the
WSU Mason County Extension office. The coordinator will work as part of a
team to Identify or develop educational materials and programs that educate
residents about water quality issues and how they can protect and improve
water quality. Organize and provide educational outreach at community
events, WSU workshops, with community organizations, and in schools. Write
press releases and develop marketing materials related to program
activities. Coordinate program activities with other WSU programs and
external organizations.

Provide logistical support for educational programs, including: securing
program locations, compiling educational materials, developing brochures,
marketing, photocopying, contacting program participants, conducting
follow-up surveys of participants, and evaluating programs. Provide
leadership to volunteers assisting with water resources programs.

Develop required grant related and WSU Extension reports. Prepare written
summaries of information related to evaluating the programs. Manage
purchasing and expenditures so that they are in accordance with the
established budgets.

Required: Bachelor’s degree in environmental field or closely related field
and two years of water resource program experience and one year experience
in providing educational programs.
