Attention Students: Graphing with Google

Can’t afford a graphing calculator next quarter? Can’t borrow one from campus LabStores because it’s closed? Check out the new graphing calculator built into Google Search! To use this graphing calculator function, go to Google Search and enter “graph” followed by whatever equation you’re trying to draw. An example query would be “graph x^2.” Remember to leave out the “y=”. If you graph y=cos(x/2 + 2), you want to enter ‘graph cos(x/2 +2)’ and be sure that you do not add a space between the function and the first parenthesis. You should be able to draw trigonometric, exponential, and logarithmic functions and all their compositions. You can also pan around the drawn graph like you can in Google Maps. Save your graphs by taking screenshots of the images.
