Component 4: Meroir/Terroir + _____ (oysters)
4a) What is your group’s preferred definition of “meroir”? Answer in under 50 words and cite who you borrowed ideas from. Add your references to the “oyster” zotero cumulative bibliography located in the website sidebar.
4b) When you think of the meroir, you think of the ocean. The ocean, full of beautiful creatures of every color in the rainbow. Creatures creating their own light. Creatures beyond belief. Now when you think of oysters, you think of shells and tiny creatures. Upon first tasting the oyster, you taste the ocean. Then the animal comes with, and you taste the life in the ocean. You taste everything. That is meroir. Now terroir is the land. Dirt, flowers, no salt, not much water. Nothing like the ocean. -Maurissa
