The place in Olympia I focus on in this blog is a nine block area on Capitol Lake. What sparked my interest in it was the opportunity to learn about the various components of the debate over removing the dam from the lake. I have been posting field notes and other information here on what I am learning about the past, present, and future of this area. I have also been looking into what needs to be done in this location to protect against flooding, as it is bordered by not only the lake but Puget Sound as well. As my ten weeks comes to a close, I hope that I have turned this location into a place I can educate others about.
