OLYMPIA, Wash. – Adam Fenster is the new head coach for Women’s Soccer at The Evergreen State College. Coach Fenster joins the Evergreen Athletic Department after being named Coach of the Year for the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges, and leading his team at Bellevue College to the 2009 NWAACC Championship.
“We are excited about the level of competitiveness and dedication to excellence in training that Adam brings to our program,” said Athletic Director Sarah Works, “and we look forward to restoring Evergreen’s reputation as a national leader in Women’s Soccer.”
A Geoduck alum, Fenster was the team captain and MVP during his athletic career at The Evergreen State College, where he graduated in 1997. He later pursued certification as a performance enhancement specialist, and currently specializes in injury prevention through strength training and conditioning. In addition, Fenster holds a national “B” level coaching license from the United States Soccer Federation.
Adam is one of three siblings, including NAIA All-American soccer player Tiffany Fenster, to attend The Evergreen State College. Head Men’s Soccer Coach John Purtteman was delighted by the move, “Evergreen has just picked up a fantastic soccer coach and, even more, a fantastic person who is highly engaged with student development and will undoubtedly move the program forward.”
