While in book seminar, there was a very useful discussion about types of racism. One of my favorite sayings was that a person can identify their racism, but not be labeled as a bad person. This is always what made me nervous almost every day. Walking on eggshells isn’t easy, but an easier course would be to engage in conversation. Sure I could say something purely stupid, but at the end of the discussion, I would learn something I didn’t know before. Another great saying from the seminar was that working on racism is an everyday endeavor. Knowlege awakens a person, and I intend to remove this wool from my eyes.
