It’s been a long time since I’ve been in an academic setting and I’m a little rusty in my summarizing skills.  I want to learn how to summarize things better.  I feel like I go into crazy long play by plays, with way to much body to them.  Verse a quick and easy detailed summary.  Some of these films could be summed up in way shorter summaries rather than these way long recaps I tend to do.

I take great notes, but when I go to summarize them.  It’s a word vomit, and I include most of everything I wrote down cause I felt the information was important enough to write down, but then I think I get lost in my own notes sometimes and loose sight of the more important themes or meanings of things.

I am going to work on shortening the length and having a more personal reflection in them.  I want to be able to my thoughts out in a more reader friendly stream.  Something that is detailed and full of my thoughts I pull from the material.  I feel like I am rewriting the movies, rather than summing them up in a quick blog post.  I feel this will help me and my readers stay focused on the topics in my writings.  Thanks for coming along for the ride.
