Geoducks Come Back To Tie Bruins, 1-1

NEWBERG, Ore. – Junior Rayna Murphy (Longview, Wash./Mark Morris) scored the equalizer in the 87th minute as the Evergreen Geoducks held on to force a 1-1 tie with the George Fox Bruins in a non-conference women’s soccer match on Saturday afternoon in Newberg, Ore.

It was the host Bruins who got on the board first as Amanda Faroutte fed in a ball to Molly Norton, who dribbled around an Evergreen defender before putting the ball past Evergreen keeper Kaitlin MacKenzie (Lake Stevens, Wash./Shoreline CC) in the 38th minute for the 1-0 lead.

OLYMPIA, Wash.  –  A goal following a well-timed cross in the 72nd minute proved to be the difference as the Menlo Oaks defeated the Evergreen Geoducks, 1-0, in a NAIA women’s soccer match on Saturday afternoon at Evergreen Pitch in Olympia, Wash.
