Bestial Ambivalence
Noun. The schematic of how an animal is represented in an animated text. Accommodates the polar extremes of the irreconcilable differences between animals and the sociocultural assimilation of animals. Split into four categories: "Pure Animal," "Aspirational Human," "Critical Human," and "Humanimal." The term was coined by Paul Wells in "The Animated Bestiary," pg. 51
