Tacoma Concerns

Tacoma students want their own student government. The students in Tacoma would be in charge of taking initiative to start their own student government. The GSU could create a group that the Tacoma campus could work together to rely information to the Tacoma Representatives. There is also the possibility of having a 10-15 minute window where the Tacoma S&A board can call in. Courtney will set up a public forum to talk to Tacoma campus. There was also a suggestion to have Tacoma night students have access to easy snacks like apples.

Committee Update:

Clean energy committee is going to bring their nominee’s next GSU meeting. They are going to send the applications to the members and be reviewing them before the candidates come.  Members have to

Sustainability Council:

Would like to come to a meeting to speak for 30 minutes, we can schedule a date for that

Smoking Policy:

The Cooper Point Journal wants a statement from the GSU for the Smoking Policy.

WSA:

Washington Student Association is looking to renew their contract to work with the GSU and Evergreen. GSU would appoint an intern to relay information between WSA and the GSU. The GSU would like to move forward with WSA and will vote next week. Tom is going to create a job description to give to the GSU to approve next week and then we will post it on CODa.
