Artists
Bil Fleming
From his site, he says, “I am a sculptor who shapes objects from other objects. In French I would be called a “bricoluer”.
In Italian my methods might be described as “l’arte d’arrangiarsi”. This translates roughly to the art of making something out of nothing, the art of getting by, of improvisation, , of inventing something, of finding a way (somehow), of self-reliance.
Allmost all my work uses and re-uses salvaged materials.”

Rob Keyse
Rob Keyse enjoys learning things and turns wood for a hobby; using a bench-top lathe he got for free through the Olympia Woodturners Society website. His old boss’ father gave him the tip-off and some tools and since 2009 he hasn’t looked back, expanding his workshop with help from family and friends. Rob first tried using pine bed frame legs to learn the basics, then pieces of fir, cedar and maple from the garden for making simple candle holders and bowls. To find his favorite wood he bought samples of box elder, white oak, mulberry, ash, redwood, curly maple, cherry, beech, rainbow poplar, black locust, and myrtle; but hasn’t quite decided on a favorite yet.
