Help with graduate research collecting longitudinal temperature profiles and observing fish holding behavior in multiple tributaries. Job will include collecting temperature data, floating in inflatable kayaks, recording GPS points along riverbanks, and may include some snorkeling. Interactions with Oregon Fish and Wildlife and The Army Corp of Engineers will also be necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with GPS units required. Agility in walking riverbanks a must, and experience with inflatable kayaks preferred.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
Job will be from June 15th to August 15th, but may run later. Must be open to a flexible schedule. Travel to multiple tributaries will require some camping; home base will most likely be a mobile trailer.

This position offers opportunities to discover some beautiful rivers, address responses of salmon to warming temperature, and assist in the conservation of an ESU listed population of Spring Chinook Salmon.
PAY: $9.00/hr, plus accommodations if needed
