TONIGHT at 7PM (Free!) we have an amazing speaker in the Longhouse.
Riki Ott is a marine toxicologist who has worked extensively on oil spill clean up efforts and fighting for justice for affected communities.
She has just finished a year long commitment working in the Gulf Coast region. She will speak about her experiences this last year as well as her experience with the Exxon Valdez disaster in Alaska and explain why unchecked corporate power is the problem.
Then we’ll have a panel discussion with Riki Ott, State Senator Adam Kline, and Craig Salins of Washington Public Campaigns. They will discuss how to challenge corporate personhood and ways to get involved. See you there!
