Standard tuition: $300 for five days
Work-trade details: We are now accepting enrollment applications for a
combination of work-trade hours and discounted tuition rates. One hour
of work-trade can contribute $10 to your tuition, and we will accept
up to 15 hours of work-trade (plus $150 paid) for the entire week of
classes.

This five-day intensive will include classes, plant walks and
workshops on the foundations of herbalism, plant identification and
botany, medicine-making, herbal first aid, body system support,
growing and wildcrafting medicinal plants, treating common ailments,
and much more. Sessions will be taught by OFHC practitioners as well
as guest herbalists and botanists from around the country.
This event is intended to introduce and deepen skills for plant
enthusiasts and students of all walks and experience levels.
Proceeds will fund rent and supplies for the Olympia Free Herbal
Clinic, a walk-in consultation space and free herbal resource for the
Olympia community. Founded in 2008, the Olympia Free Herbal Clinic
offers no-cost health consultations with herbalists, plant remedies,
an in-house reference library, free community workshops, and
appointments with practitioners of a variety of healing modalities.
The Clinic is located in the Historic White Building in Downtown
Olympia, at 209 4th Ave E, in Suite 212. Our open hours during July
and August, 2011 will be Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 7pm.
