Chris Shuey has over 30 years experience working and conducting research on the Navajo reservation. Presently, he is Co-Principle Investigator with the Navajo Kidney Study. His research has focused on environmental health and epidemiology. He edited Mine Talk, working with Navajo communities on uranium mining and with other environmental groups on national oil and gas waste issues in the Navajo Land Department Division of Natural Resources, Dineh Bikeyah.
