The workshop will be held on Saturday, November 5 at the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge, from 9:00am to 3:30.  The cost is $35.00 and includes a copy of the Growing Up Wild curriculum.

ESD 113/CBEC  in partnership with the USFWS and the Nisqually River Education Project, will be conducting a Growing Up Wild workshop.  Growing UP Wild is Project Wild’s new and award winning early education program for children ages 3-7 that builds on children’s sense of wonder about nature, and invites them to explore wildlife and the world around them.

The Growing Up Wild curriculum includes 27 activities aligned to the National Association for the Education of Young Children Accreditation Criteria and Head Starts’ Child Outcomes Framework.  Goal: The hands-on, sensory activities spark curiosity, and make connections to math, language and literacy, nature play, scientific inquiry, home and provide an early foundation for developing positive impressions about nature and lifelong social and academic skills.
