Join Capitol Land Trust in an ongoing effort to restore the Twin River Ranch property located at the northern end of Oakland Bay, just five miles north of Shelton on Saturday Dec 17th 2011 from 10 to 2pm.

Twin River Ranch is a 125 acre property that has two salmon bearing streams on the east and west side called Deer Creek and Cranberry Creek. It also has 66 acres of wetland and hundreds of feet of shoreline. Providing habitat for many of our salmon species and bird species. Invasive plants such as Himalayan blackberry and Reed-canary grass had strangled our native plants. Most of these had been cleared out and we need your help to replant the area with native trees and shrubs.

Direction: 5 miles north of Shelton. Contact Capitol Land Trust for more information.

Please bring sack lunch. Light refreshment and water will provided. Tools and some gloves (bring if you have your own) will also be provided.

Dress in clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, rain jacket and rain boots are recommended because we’ll be out whether rain or shine.

We required those under 10 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and those that are under 17 who will not be accompanied must contact the event coordinator prior to the work party to get a release form.

Please RSVP with Rony Thi at Capitol Land Trust – rony@capitollandtrust.org or 360-943-3012.
