DNR Engineering Division is seeking qualified candidates to fill up to six summer internship positions. These positions are designed to give students majoring in Forest Engineering, Forest Products, Forest Operations, Civil Engineering, or related fields basic work experience in road location and design, hydraulic survey and design, and timber sale layout.

SALARY RANGE:
Sophomore and under: $1813 per month
Junior: $2003 per month
Senior: $2376 per month
Graduate student: up to $2876 per month

LOCATION:
Battle Ground, WA
Forks, WA
Longview, WA
Other locations may become available at a later date.

Flexible start date with minimum 3 month duration.

Assist the region engineering staff in a variety of duties that may include: Road location survey and design. Timber sale reconnaissance. Timber sale layout. Bridge and culvert site survey. Road inventory. Contract compliance. GIS and GPS mapping techniques.
Actual job duties will vary by location.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be a full-time student (12+ credits) majoring in Forest Engineering, Forest Products, Forest Operations, Civil Engineering, or related fields and will be returning to school in a following quarter/semester.
