What: 20th Annual Student GREEN Congress Fundraiser
When: Tuesday, March 20, 2012, 4:00 pm – midnight
Where: McMenamins Spar Cafe – 114 4th Ave. E., Olympia, WA
South Sound Global Rivers Environmental Education Project (South Sound GREEN) and the Nisqually River Education Project (NREP) are celebrating 20 years of providing opportunities for hundreds of teachers and thousands of students to do hands-on, real world science in the field at their locally adopted stream, river, lake, or shoreline of the Puget Sound.
South Sound GREEN and NREP are hosting a restaurant fundraiser and silent auction to help raise funds for our 20th Annual Student GREEN Congress (a local watershed summit) held at the Evergreen State College on March 23rd, 2012. The McMenamins Spar Cafe has been generous enough to donate 50% of proceeds to help raise money for this amazing event, for 400 local students.
There will be a variety of great silent auction items donated by local businesses and artists. There will also be live music performed by Bluesy Folk Duo Julia Palmer and James O’Keeffe.
