The Department of Fish and Wildlife is recruiting to fill two 7 to 8-week-long, part time, temporary Scientific Technician 2 positions located in the Wildlife Program, Science Division. The duty station is Olympia (Thurston County) with travel in the localized area.
This position serves as a non-permanent technician providing seasonal field assistance to a research project designed to support the recovery of a state endangered butterfly (Mardon Skipper) in the south Puget Sound Region (Thurston and Pierce counties). This position assists in the collection of field data, the butterfly’s behavior, and grassland vegetation on south Puget Sound prairies as part of a project to study the butterfly’s habitat.
