Evergreen science students will be hosting talks, labs, exhibits, and posters on their lab work, field work, and research projects for the benefit of the TESC and greater Olympia community. You can encourage them by your presence. The event is from 10 AM to 3 PM on both days. You can attend a part of the event as your schedule permits.

This is our ninth annual Science Carnival and is only possible due to the cooperation and hard work of our science faculty, lab staff, and students. We want to showcase our hands-on approach to teaching and learning science at Evergreen so please invite family and friends to visit the college for the Carnival.  We specially welcome school teachers to bring their students. The event is for kids and adults of all ages and is free. Registration is not required. Carnival participants get free parking on campus.

The best place to start is at the welcome booth in Lab I, first floor, lobby. We thank the students of the Chemistry Club and Geology Club for staffing the welcome booth and contributing in multiple ways to make this event a success.  The presentation schedule is on the Carnival web site at: http://www.evergreen.edu/events/sciencecarnival/. This year we are hosting a “science symposium” to showcase the work of our senior research students. These talks are identified on the program in bold italics.

As always some excitement and explosions may be observed on the Red Square.  Hope to see you this weekend.
