This is a non-permanent position related to the development of a proposal for a long-term conservation strategy for the marbled murrelet under DNR’s State Lands Habitat Conservation Plan. This position will develop, coordinate, and facilitate the planning process for the Environmental Impact Statement for the proposal, working closely with the Project Lead and Project Manager.
The position will:
–Draft the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), synthesizing technical information provided by project staff and external contractors, based upon consultation with the SEPA Responsible Official;
–Coordinate the preparation of the EIS with internal and external stakeholders;
–Design public involvement processes in collaboration with communications staff and the SEPA Responsible Official;
–Review public comments and prepare responses to public comments for publication in the Final Environmental Impact Statement, based upon consultation with the SEPA Responsible Official.
