Water-wise Plant Sale Sunday, September 30, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Native Plant Salvage Foundation/Project’s annual water-wise fall plant sale is just 10 days away and will feature horticulture experts offering one-on-one advice about the best plants for your landscape to save water, attract birds and butterflies, and reduce maintenance.

Thousands of hard-to-find native and drought-tolerant shrubs, perennials, grasses, vines, and groundcovers will be offered! The event takes place rain or shine at the WSU Extension/County Parks offices at 4131 Mud Bay Rd. W. (formerly McLane Fire Station). Call 360-867-2166 or see www.nativeplantsalvage.org for more details and directions.

We have an expanded selection of native plants, with hard-to-find plants from specialty nurseries such as Steamboat Island Nursery & Fairmeadow Nursery, as well as our favorite native-plants nursery, Sound Native Plants. Drought-tolerant specialties will come from Evergreen Valley, The Plant Place, and Puget Sound Plants, and regional nurseries from Oregon and the Seattle area. You’d be hard-pressed to find a collection of native and water-wise plants this splendid anywhere else!

New Feature! Designer Linda Andrews will offer free mini-consultations during the sale by advanced appointment! Bring photos and info about your yard and she’ll customize a plant palette perfect for you! Contact us now for a first-come, first-served appointment at 867-2166.
