Job Description
Engineering and Environment, Inc is seeking a candidate to fill a Natural Resource Assessment Support position at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), WA. The Natural Resource Assessment Support position is the Range and Training Land (RTLA) Coordinator at JBLM. The individual in this position assesses the condition of maneuver training land to support military mission requirements.
Responsibilities will include:
- Recommend and develop protocols, procedures, and methodologies for gathering information and assessing land condition trends
- Identify and recommend priorities for land repair
- Monitor the effectiveness of program projects
- Use statistical analysis to evaluate projects
- Produce GIS outputs using ESRI software
- Work with Trimble GPS equipment and ArcPad
- Participate in intra-agency conferences
- Discuss technical issues and application
- Produce technical reports
- Conduct presentations
The ideal candidate will have the knowledge or ability and willingness to learn about training land management, military readiness, and military culture.
A Bachelors Degree from an accredited college/university in natural resources or related applied science with 2 years related experience and/or training. Experience with developing and prioritizing projects, conducting field surveys and statistical data analysis, and providing crew management are required.
Candidates should have strong written and oral communication skills. Must hold a valid driver’s license. Must be capable of obtaining a security clearance.
