Stream Team is partnering with the Thurston Conservation District to remove invasive plant species along a stream in Rochester. The two invasive species we will be focusing on are reed canary grass and Himalayan blackberry. Removing the invasive plants is an important first step to improving habitat along the creek.
There are lots of invasives to remove, so we’ve scheduled two work party times. Register for the morning or afternoon session or join us for both! We’ll provide snacks and refreshments as well as tools and gloves. We recommend you wear sturdy boots or shoes and come dressed for the weather.
To register for this event, go to www.streamteam.info/getinvolved/calendar . For questions, contact Ann Marie at 360-754-3355 ext. 6857 or pearcea@co.thurston.wa.us
