This month’s Tacoma Green Drinks get-together will be at 6 PM at the Harmon Brewery and Restaurant on Pacific (not to be confused with the Harmon Tap Room). For those of you unfamiliar with Green Drinks, every month people engaged in the environmental field meet up at informal sessions known as Green Drinks. We have a lively mixture of people from NGOs, academia, government and business. This month’s informal gathering is hosted by Food Forest at Swan Creek Park. Food forests are perennial cropping systems structured like forest ecosystems. Come hear how the community effort to design and plant a beginning acre at Swan Creek Park is coming along.
