Formed in 1955, THPRD is the largest special park district in Oregon, spanning about 50 square miles and serving more than 200,000 residents in the greater Beaverton area. The district provides year-round recreational and educational opportunities for people of all ages. Offerings include a wide variety of classes and more than 200 park sites, 60 miles of trails, eight swim centers, six recreation centers, and 1,300 acres of nature preserve.

The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District’s Natural Resources Department has a Park Ranger
position available. This is a full-time job with a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package.

The Park Ranger serves as a positive presence in natural area parks and is responsible for habitat and trail management, visitor safety, responding to park incidents and emergencies, and planning and leading educational programs. Incumbents interact with park visitors, interpret natural and human history, enforce and educate the public about park rules. The Park Ranger also coordinates and performs habitat restoration, trail maintenance, and manages volunteers.
