POSITION SUMMARY: The Youth Program Coordinator is a member of the New Futures
Program team at Woodridge Park Apartments. The primary function of this position is to
conduct outreach to and build relationships with middle and high school students to provide
them with supportive services using a holistic approach.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Conduct outreach and build relationships with middle and high school students;
 Coordinate and facilitate after school program for students to provide academic and
social support;
 Provide educational and enrichment opportunities for youth and participate in
continuous quality improvement through the Youth Program Quality Initiative;
 Partner with external organizations and connect youth to outside programs and
resources;
 Create individual plans in partnership with the youth to develop long term plans for the
future;
 Coordinate parent workshops and meetings on a regular basis;
 Maintain ongoing communication with school staff to ensure students’ progress and
success in school;
 Partner with families to support and encourage involvement in their children’s
education;
 Provide ongoing supportive services to families that promote family learning and foster
self sufficiency in collaboration with Family Advocate;
 Support all site activities and events through participation and attendance;
