Salary: $20.90 – $25.62 Hourly

The Recreation Coordinator I – Public Events Permit known as Public Events Coordinator (PEC) for Portland Parks and Recreation assists with the processing and issuing of special use permits to public events in park facilities. The position will use their advanced knowledge of how to apply city, county, and state codes as they relate to these activities in the parks. They will coordinate with other bureaus and agencies; generating permits; monitoring events and assessing damages. The PEC will be required to use the Activenet software to complete assigned duties. The PEC will use strong communication and organizational skills in order to perform job tasks and maintain accurate records. This position works a day time schedule Tuesday through Saturday, including some evenings and designated holidays. This position does not plan, manage or in any way determine the activities of any permitted event.
