We are looking to hire a Sustainability Intern – Administrative Intern 2 at our Headquarters Officein Lacey, WA.

Some of the duties include:

  • Assist with the Alternatives Assessment Advisory Group, including organizing conference calls, taking notes, posting information to the web, and communications related activities.
  • Create a specifications paper to help buyers purchase environmentally preferred brake pads.
  • Conduct a literature review on copper toxicity. Help determine if alternative brake friction materials are available.
  • Help with the redesign of the Mercury Website.
  • Help develop education/outreach materials for Better Brakes.
  • Help develop tabletop materials about product testing, green chemistry, and safer alternatives.
  • Assist with workshops – publicity, registration, notes.
  • Assist with rules development, including the chemical test methods and the waste designation tool.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university.

Please note: The days of work are: Monday – Friday, Hours: Flexible – We are able to work around the student’s schedule.

This temporary position is scheduled to end December 31, 2014 but may be extended until June 30, 2015.
