McLane Creek Nature Trail

Every year, Stream Team trains volunteers to work as Salmon Stewards at the McLane Creek Nature Trail. Salmon Stewards greet people walking along the trail and answer questions about the wild, native run of colorful chum salmon that return to McLane Creek each fall. The chum return to spawn after the rains begin and the water levels in the creek rise, typically in early November to early December.

If you are interested in being a Salmon Steward at the McLane Creek Nature Trail, Stream Team will be hosting a two-part fact filled training in November. Both new and returning Stewards welcome!
