Introduction

The Washington State Salmon Recovery Funding Board will hold its fifth biennial conference May 27-29, 2015 at the Vancouver Convention Center in Vancouver, Washington. Presentation abstracts are being accepted through January 16, 2015.

The conference will focus on the topics of habitat restoration and protection, showcasing new and innovative salmon recovery projects. There will be special emphasis on an open exchange about lessons learned and problems solved. This year the conference also will include topics around H-integration (managing habitat, hatcheries, harvest, and hydropower) and the broader context of salmon recovery.

All abstract proposals will be reviewed and selected by a Conference Advisory Committee based on relevance and available space. Not all proposals are guaranteed a place in the schedule. Everyone submitting a proposal will be notified of acceptance by March 2015.

Abstract Submission Directions

Please type complete answers to the questions in the fields below. Abstracts should provide a brief overview of the approach and key findings to be presented at the conference.

 

  • Each presentation will have 20 minutes with 5 minutes for questions and answers.
  • Please provide enough detail in the abstract to allow proposal reviewers to fully understand the intent and content of the presentation.
  • The abstract will be used in the conference program.
  • Presenters will be notified of the status of their proposals by telephone or e-mail in March 2015.
  • If selected, presenters will be given a code to register for the conference at the presenter rate.
