Ocean Conservancy’s Arctic program works to address the complex challenges facing the maritime Arctic by advancing science-based policy solutions in U.S. and international venues. The Arctic Program Specialist will work closely with the Arctic Program Director to expand Ocean Conservancy’s work on emerging industrial pressures, with a focus on shipping. He or she will join Ocean Conservancy’s team of issue experts, technical consultants and scientists to conduct research and analysis in support of program strategies, develop advocacy materials, and help represent Ocean Conservancy with our coalition partners. This is a unique mid-level opportunity for a professional looking to deepen his or her understanding of conservation work in a region that is undergoing unprecedented environmental, political, and industrial change… Success in this role will require strong research, analytic, and writing skills, as well as resourcefulness and independent initiative.
