EPA K-12 Environmental and STEM Outreach Coordinator at EPA

Are you a fan of kids, environmental and scientific outreach, and public speaking? Then the EPA Environmental Research and Business Support Program needs you to apply for this job! We’re searching for a master’s graduate who would be willing to join the EPA K-12 Environmental and STEM Outreach Program as a Coordinator at Research Triangle Park (RTP) in North Carolina. Job responsibilities include assisting in recruitment, coordination and training of 220+ employees who serve as guest speakers and EPA representatives at local schools, presenting hands-on environmental science topics at local K-12 schools, planning and coordinating school-wide EPA Science Days, facilitating visits to EPA-RTP campus by schools, and other related activities, including conferences and seminars.

 

The position is for master’s graduates who have recently received a degree in a STEM field, including but not limited to, environmental science, environmental health, air/water quality or science communication. Candidates must also have previous work/volunteer experience in community and educational outreach as well as strong oral communication skills.
